DUBAI WORLD, Uni Arab Emirate

Nowdays, people in whole world are talking about Dubai World’s finance that fail in sukuk. Many foreign workers who work in Dubai leave this luxurious city back to their country or try to find another country, still….for dollars.

Dubai is a city with full of luxury goods, such as cars, buildings, etc. We can find any brands and type of cars and any property’s style in this city. Before today, money talks in this city. Perhaps you’re a boss in your country or a diplomat, in here you are nothing without money. There’s no diplomatic immune here.

But now, the impact of Dubai world’s financial crisis brings many changes. We, asian, are equal with others and can have taxi as easy as European or American. Because the condition flips over now, Dubai need money in any cent.

Many workers, include asian workers, are fired from their works, it’s because the company can’t pay for.

It’s a lucky for us (I and my friends) visit Dubai in this situation, because we can enter the Burj Ar Arab, the most extravagant hotel with 18 tons of 18carat Gold just for sightseeing and take many pictures in it. Soooo Lucky!!! Thanks to our friends Mr. Agung and Mr. Am in Dubai.

I admit that we have a nice journey in Dubai…

From Dubai, Mr. Am drive us to Abu Dhabi for next duty. Hope will find other great experiences there.

BAYRUT, LIBAN

Dear All

Bayrut... known as Beirut, is a capital city of Liban or Libanon (Indonesian call it).

Beirut is not as scariest as we hear before...

Beirut is beautiful city with beautiful views, buildings, and off course its bay which is in the city.

This country's devided in to 2 big religions, Islam and Christian.
And for Islam, it is devided to Sunni (Sunnah) and Syiah (Ahlul Bait).

Perhaps we used to hear about Hisbullah...People of Hisbullah are syiah who live in Beirut. There is another syiah believes in Beirut, it's called Ammal.
A bombing's spot in 2006 was in Syiah area. Hisbullah's area

Here are the pictures of Beirut on Dec 2009...

AMMAN, JORDAN

Dear All

Pictures were taken in Amman, Jordan.

Amman is a nice city...many Indonesian are working here (especially as a house maid).
Too bad, we didn't have much time to explore Amman, that's why we couldn't see Petra and Dead Sea.

Sorry to say I can't share much information about this country except from the pictures above (see more pictures of Amman @ my facebook, wow.awan@yahoo.co.uk) because i didn't have much time for sightseeing.

Weather in Amman was very cold, it was around 5C. Brrerrrr....

Next stop...BEIRUT, LIBANON

A Journey in mindle east

Amman

We arrived at Amman on 9.40 Amman's time or 14.40 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Before we landed on Amman's International Airport, we were transferred at Dubai Airport. We're amazed with Dubai International Airport. It's more like a mall or a plaza in Indonesia than an airport. But...the price that's offered for the goods in duty free shop there was not right. We decided not buying anything in the Dubai Airport...so expensive.

Inverse of Dubai Airport, Amman Airport's too plain to be an international airport. nothing's special about it. So plain....

In Amman, we stay at Amman In Hotel. It's a new hotel near Amman city, near circle 2.

Best Destination I've been gone

Palu, Central Sulawesi

I was totally shocked when i found this view...I couldn't stop to take pictures for a proof that Indonesia has a beautiful nature, best in the world

Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara

So calm...so cozy...so natural...I prefer lombok than Bali.

I love Lombok

Anyer, Banten

This view's only 1,5 - 2 hours driving from Jakarta....wuiiihhh the air so fresh. Love it

Pari Island, Thousand Islands

These picts were taken on an island which is not far from downtown Jakarta.
This island's called Pari Island or Rayfish Island in english.

This island is only about 40.000 m2 and has a beautiful sands...nice people...and good cottages.

We can reach this island from Muara Baru Port (North Jakarta) by taking a wood-boat and it takes for about 2,5 hours or ...
we can take a boat from Pakuhaji Port (Tangerang/near by Soekarno-Hatta International Airport) and have a shorter trip (1,5 hours) ... but more heavy waves.

Please...you should go there...so cheap!!!
You'll have sea food on your meal all times...
